A proposed model for literary essay writing skills developing and awareness of its processes among gifted students at the secondary level

The study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a proposed model in developing literary essay writing skills and awareness of its processes among gifted students at secondary school level. The study sample consisted of (41) talented students who attended the first semester of the academic year 1443 AH in Mecca, who were selected randomly. In order to achieve the previous goal, the researcher prepared a test to measure the skills of the literary essay, as well as a scale to measure awareness of essay writing processes. The students of the experimental group were taught according to the proposed model. The findings indicted that the experimental group students could substantially and successfully improve their literary essay writing skills and awareness of its processes compared to the level of their counterparts in the control group.
