Abstract

The study aimed to assess the extent to which e-governance principles are applied in the General Administration of Education in the Al-Qassim region, utilizing a descriptive survey methodology and a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The study population comprised 1,500 employees of the General Administration of Education in Al-Qassim, from which a randomly selected sample of 305 employees was drawn. The findings indicated that the principle of e-transparency achieved a high level of application, while both e-participation and e-accountability achieved a medium level of application. Additionally, there were no statistically significant differences in responses regarding the application of e-governance principles based on educational qualification and years of service. The study recommends enhancing transparency and accountability by implementing clear mechanisms in all electronic operations and services, ensuring public access to clear and accurate information, and providing an active role for citizens and students in the design and development of electronic services to better meet their needs. The study underscores the importance of further implementing e-governance principles to improve service quality and enhance trust between citizens and the educational administration.
