The effectiveness of a program based on micro-learning in developing the specialized and teaching aspects of Arabic language teachers in light of professional licensing standards

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a program based on micro-learning in developing the specialized and teaching aspects of Arabic language teachers in light of the professional license standards. To achieve this, the experimental method with a quasi-experimental design was used for one experimental group of (40) teachers from the intermediate and secondary stages in the city of Jeddah. A pre-test and a post-test were applied to them. After testing the program, the results of the study showed the effectiveness of the training program in developing the specialized and teaching aspects of Arabic language teachers in the areas of the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and in the field of literature, rhetoric, dictation, planning, implementation and evaluation of lessons and in the field of classroom management, except for the field of grammar, the results of which did not show statistical significance. The results also indicated the presence of statistical significance for the educational qualification variable in favor of postgraduate studies, while there was no statistical significance in the variables of experience and training courses.
