Abstract

The study aimed to develop the science course in light of social scientific issues and detect its effectiveness in developing scientific power and moral scientific awareness among first intermediate grade students. The study followed the experimental approach with its quasi-experimental design for the experimental and control groups. The study tools were the scientific power test and the moral scientific awareness scale. The study sample consisted of (64) students from the first intermediate grade in Riyadh, (31) students represented the experimental group, and (33) students the control group. The study presented the developed science course for the first intermediate grade in light of social scientific issues. The results findings there were statistically significant differences at a significance level (0.05) between the students mean scores in the experimental and control groups in the post-test of the scientific power test and the moral scientific awareness scale in favor of experimental group students. According to these results, the study provide relevant recommendations and proposals
