Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of ability of Arabic Language Female Teachers to develop reading comprehension skills of female students in the upper classes of the primary stage. By defining the reading comprehension skills necessary, and then determining the methods of developing their reading comprehension skills; to achieve the objectives, researcher used descriptive approach, and tool observation card. was applied to a random from (30) female teachers from the upper classes of primary school in Holy Makkah, in the second semester 1443H. After analyzing data using statistically, the study found (24) reading comprehension skills necessary, categorized into five levels: (Literal comprehension skills, Interpretive comprehension skills, critical comprehension skills, taste comprehension skills, creative comprehension skills). Also (46) methods of developing, categorized into five levels: (Methods of developing literal comprehension skills, Methods of developing interpretive comprehension skills, Methods of developing critical comprehension skills, Methods of developing taste comprehension skills, Methods of developing Creative comprehension skills). The level of Arabic Language Female Teachers in the upper grades of primary stage of methods of developing literal, interpretive, and critical reading comprehension skills medium, while the level of taste comprehension and creative comprehension incapable.
