Abstract

The aim of the current research is to show the effect of teaching spelling rules using the concept maps strategy in increasing academic achievement and its impact on developing students' achievement motivation. The researcher used the Quasi-Experimental Approach, relying on two tools to collect the necessary information, namely (the achievement test and the achievement motivation scale). The sample Of

 

 the research was (31) students from the fourth grade of primary school. The research reached several results, including those the students' academic achievement increased after studying the spelling rules using the concept maps strategy, and the results also showed the effect of teaching using the concept maps strategy on the motivation for achievement. The research recommended training teachers to teach using concept maps strategy, and it also recommended conducting research on the impact of teaching strategy by using concept maps on other courses.
