Abstract

The study sought to monitor the future effects of distance education on the economics of education, and the researcher used the Delphi method consisting of (24) experts, and the study came out with a number of results, including that distance education holds promising investment opportunities to provide distance educational services, as it exceeds the barrier of time and space. It also enables the production of asynchronous interactive content at a lower cost, and its downsides are the high number of students in virtual classrooms, which may increase pressure on teachers, and the need to develop and control educational work systems. Experts believe that the high economic level and the high ability of families to use technology increases the efficiency of distance education, and that the contribution of society and the media to the marketing of distance education is a matter of positive consequences, and experts predicted that the graduate will be more efficient in interacting with technology in the work environment, However, experts are concerned about building an integrated student personality, as well as compromising educational equity among students as urbanites may benefit more effectively from distance education.
