This study sought to explore both the administrative and technical requirements for achieving school excellence from the perspectives of school principals. A qualitative phenomenological approach was adopted, employing semi-structured interviews with a purposive sample of nine principals from schools recognized for excellence in 2024. Participants were selected based on their professional experience, academic qualifications, and peer recommendations. Interview data were carefully transcribed and analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings revealed two overarching themes: (1) administrative requirements for school excellence and (2) technical requirements for school excellence. The administrative requirements highlighted by principals included a shared vision, motivation, and participatory leadership through team building. In contrast, the technical requirements encompassed adherence to the standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, ongoing self-assessment, community partnerships, and the promotion of school values and culture. The study recommended enhancing motivation within schools through sustainable incentive programs targeting teachers and students alike. Such programs should combine symbolic and material recognition with systematic and timely acknowledgment of efforts. Additionally, it emphasized the importance of empowering teams and strengthening participatory leadership by offering training workshops in planning, delegation, and monitoring. These measures aim to ensure effective role distribution and the unification of the school’s vision
