Public education school principals in Uyun al-Jawaa governorate practice toxic leadership

This study aims to explore the level of practicing the toxic leadership by public school principals and teachers in the Department of Education in Uyun al-Jawa Governorate, KSA. The study used the descriptive survey model and questionnaires as a tool to collect data from the study sample consisted of (270) male and female teachers who were randomly selected. The study concluded that the level of toxic leadership practice was hardly achieved, and there were statistically significant differences in the level of toxic leadership practice due to: 1. the gender variable, where the differences were in favor of (the females). 2. the years of working variable, where it was in favor of minimum years of working. According to the results, the study presented a set of recommendations, including: designing training programs for school principals on the importance of effective leadership and warning against toxic leadership, as well as the necessity of spreading awareness about the risks of toxic leadership among school principals and strengthening and enhancing human relations between school principals and teachers
