The effect of applying a Breathing Exercise Program on Improving the Tajweed skills of students of Quranic centers

Abstract

skills (sound origination (Makharij) of the letters, Qualities (Sefat) of the letters, stopping and beginning) among students of Quranic centers. The quasi-experimental method was chosen to answer the study question. The sample of the study consisted of female students in Quranic centers affiliated to the Jordanian Ministry of Waqif in the capital, Amman, where they numbered (51) students, who were randomly distributed to the experimental group (26) female students, and the control group (25) female students. To answer the questions of the study, the researcher designed the training program for breathing exercises, and built the study tool consisting of a note card to measure the three intonation skills, consisting of (30) items that measure the sub-skills, distributed as follows: Makharij skills (10) items, and Sefat skills (10) items. Stopping and beginning skills (10) Items. After applying the study tool, it was found that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) for the effect of the training program on the total intonation skill, and in all three sub-skills in favor of the experimental group that received training on the breathing exercise program. Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends
