Abstract

The study aimed to identify the relationship between sensory disturbances and apraxia of speech among children with low and high functioning autism spectrum disorder, a number of (60) children, their ages ranged from (6- 12 years) with an arithmetic mean (7.5 years) and a standard deviation of (1.73). The study used the correlative descriptive approach. The results of the study found a positive correlation between sensory disorders and apraxia of speech among children with high and low functioning autism spectrum disorder, There are also statistically significant differences between children with high and low autism spectrum disorder in sensory disorders and apraxia of speech in favor of high functional, as well as the ability of sensory disorders in predicting apraxia of speech in children with high and low autism spectrum disorder.
