Administrative Procrastination Among The managers of The Public Secondary Schools in Qassim Region

The study aimed to identify the level of administrative procrastination among public secondary schools' managers in Qassim region, discover differences between the study variables (gender, manager's experience, nature of work), identify the reasons and to present suggestions that may contribute to reduce it. The study used the descriptive survey method and the questionnaire. The sample consisted of 277 mangers and 827 teachers. The results of the study have concluded that the level of administrative procrastination among the public secondary schools' managers in Qassim region is low, and there are differences due to gender differences in favor of males as they practice administrative procrastination to a greater than female mangers. While there are no differences due to the difference in years of experience of the managers, there are differences due to the difference of work nature in favor of teachers. The reasons that contribute to raising the level of administrative procrastination came as follows: first, the administrative reasons, then characteristics of the task reasons, and finally personal reasons. And the suggestions that may contribute to reduce the administrative procrastination level were significantly important: the delegation of authorities came in first. Then, planning.
