Job Passion and Job Burnout, and Its Relationship with School Effectiveness among School Principals in Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the relationship between job passion and school effectiveness, job burnout and school effectiveness, job passion and job burnout, and to explore the predictive ability of job passion and job burnout with school effectiveness. The study sample consisted of (130) principals in middle and secondary schools in   Arar city schools. Job passion scale, job burnout scale, and school effectiveness scale were used as study instruments. The results of the study indicated that there is a positive correlation between job passion and school effectiveness, a negative correlation between job burnout and school effectiveness, a negative correlation between job passion and dimensions of job burnout (emotional burnout, depersonalization) and a significant positive relationship with a lack of personal achievement, and indicated the ability Predictive of passion and job burnout in school effectiveness, and explained self- motivation ,the total score of job passion, and the depersonalization30.9% of the variance in school effectiveness
